One Second Photo

Dave Sifry looking for a camera for his 3 year-old daughter:
But as an experiment, I would love to get her a cheap, kid-friendly digital camera that she can use and have as her own. I think it would be incredible or her to go back to these photos later in life, and relive the perspective that she has now. I'm sure that most of the shots will be total crap, but then again, so what?

I think the Big Sister would love a camera for her not-too-far-off birthday, so now I'm interested. I dug around a bit in the Toys-R-Us discount bin, but didn't find anything that I'd like giving. I mean, how many little girls do you know who take less than six pictures in a row? And why is it that the cheap, down-sized versions of grown-up toys are so pathetic?

On a Dark Desert Highway

Kitaro's "Caravansary" reminds me of The Eagle's "Hotel California." These links are not really a good comparison, but what do you expect when you can't use an artwork to discuss that artwork?

Yet Another Feature to Implement
