Stupid Migration Decisions

Comcast sets deadline for AT&T switch. AT&T Broadband subscribers swallowed in last year's billion-dollar takeover by Comcast must drop their familiar attbi.com addresses or face lost e-mail. [CNET News.com] I urge all such subscribers to drop Comcast like a stone and find a local, independent high-speed provider. Then, sign up with one of the services that lets you keep your email address forever. Send a message to Comcast. [Scott Mace's Radio Weblog]

FWIW, people who migrate to SBC Yahoo! from one of the SBC legacy domains, like, say, prodigy.net, can keep their old e-mail address while enjoying all of the amazing benefits that Yahoo! offers. (I suggest you set up your personal web page first, though.)
