Why do some people feel the need to reboot after their uptime exceeds 365 days?

Not Paying Attention
I've told HTTP User-Agents that my old URI was replaced by my new URI. Some of the user agents pay attention to this instruction. Google is a notable example. Searches for my historical sites turn up the same place. Similar searches on AllTheWeb do not equate the sites, nor does Teoma. As far as they are concerned, these three URIs indicate three distinct data sets.
MSN Search also considers these as three distinct data sets. The odd thing about MSN, though, is that sometimes a search considers my original URI to be authoritative for something published in the last month, and sometimes it doesn't.
