I Rise Before the Dawn

Posted on Thursday, October 2nd, 2014 by Will Cox

The wind shaking rain from the leaves.
The heavy breathing of sōngshī quǎn.
The clomp of his owner’s boots.
The broken muffler of the newspaper delivery man.
The first travelers of the morning.

fall, poetry
