Ignorance and Want

Ingorance and Want

In A Christmas Carol, Dickens warns to beware Ignorance, for he is the Doom of Man.

“They are Man’s,” said the Spirit, looking down upon them. “And they cling to me, appealing from their fathers. This boy is Ignorance. This girl is Want. Beware them both, and all of their degree, but most of all beware this boy, for on his brow I see that written which is Doom, unless the writing be erased.”

The tsunami killed more because of ignorance. Many wondered at the strange sight of the seas rushing away from land, and children rushed to play in it. And then died.

  1. Found you via a Google on Dickens precious words. But William, if we “adopt” these children and raise them in His spirit of love, can we
give them different names? Can we erase what is written on them? Can
we cover, by His Blood, those spirits now in them? In our adoption
of them, can we pursue His Kingdom with them and can we claim them,
then, as His progeny? As Kingdom progeny? Can we be transformed as
they are transformed? William, I think I have heard Him say, “Adopt
ye, one another, even as I have adopted you…” Thank you for letting
me rant. Thank you for your wonderful web page. Pray that the whole
Body of Christ… the modern day Ebenezer(?) can be filled with His
Adoptive Love as opposed to our desire for our own genetically
bordered, culturally bordered, racially bordered, self-centered
personal empires. MAY JESUS CHRIST BE PRAISED!!
