Using the spiced syrup from the Honeycrisp Apple cocktail, make a variation of the Old Fashioned. I’ve drunk the following with both Evan Williams and Tuthilltown Baby Bourbon, and both go well with the spices in the syrup. The Tuthilltown has a simpler flavor profile due to using just the one grain.
Spiced Bourbon
- 1/2 oz. spiced syrup
- 2 oz. bourbon
Build in an old fashioned glass, stir with ice until cold.
