In honor of our friends over at British Petroleum, I tender the following creation, which I’ve christened the Deepwater Horizon (attempt 1 of n).
Build, in a deep glass, the following.
- 1 tsp. of blackstrap molasses
- 2 oz. dark rum, very cold
- carefully fill with 4 oz. soda water, so as not to disturb the rum
Float syrup of ipecac on the surface. This latter step is optional, depending on whether or not you want to experience the full effects of the calamity.
Cut a hole in a wide straw, and drink.
Update: I recommend trying the Gulf Spill instead (via Liquor Snob).
