Interesting piece on NPR this morning about one-room schools. They are about 400 left in the country. One in Croydon, New Hampshire, serves a population which may soon exceed its capacity.
Meanwhile, there’s some evidence to show that students who are mixed together, instead of isolated by age and ability, learn better. Unfortunately, I don’t have it at my fingertips.
