I got my Grundig radio. Thanks, David, for mentioning that there was such a beast as a $29 shortwave radio. Of course, I had to call my Dad to tell him. He sounded just as excited as I am! Time to tune in the BBC World Service.

    Actually, I’ve never ramped up to one of the big boys yet, (low-budget listener) but I have like 5 portables for various uses – hamnet stuff in the during storm season…(hey I;m in florida, we’re neurotic about it all now) and my Sangean ATS-909 in the bedroom/home office with the random longwire out the window for spynumbers and other esoterica.
