Rave Review

FM really does save your drafts. It does! It does! I've already filed a whole bucketload of issues with SocialDynamix, but that one feature makes this for me. Despite the memory usage on my already over-crowded system. Despite the lack of an edit source option which keeps lowercase tags. So I'll write my longer posts here, and fix the HTML before posting them.

A Side-Effect of Project Monterey

"We are alleging [IBM] have contaminated their Linux work with inappropriate knowledge from Unix," said Chris Sontag, senior vice president of operating systems at SCO

Assuming that the allegations have some merit, which is cheaper for IBM: substitute Linux for AIX now, settle the case, see it through to trial, or buy SCO? As for the latter, SCO has 11,362,000 shares outstanding, currently trading at $2.21. That's a cheap $25,110,020, though it could easily run up.

Andrew Orlowski has a good piece, including background for those who haven't been paying attention, at The Register.
